Our automotive Client based in Saudi Arabia is searching for an experienced Senior BIW Joining Manufacturing Engineer who is responsible for developing the BIW Joining Strategy for processes, equipment, and systems for the industrialization aspirations in the body shop BOP for Joining. Work along with the Joining Manager and be the interface between Product Development & Manufacturing Engineering team including Testing & Validation. Support in planning & installation of Joining Lab catering the needs.
This is a full-time position which requires full relocation to Saudi Arabia. Our client will support an overall benefits package which will allow significant relocation and living costs on top of a very competitive salary with favourable tax incentives.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for BIW Joining Technology as an Interface between PD & ME
- Need to play a key role in planning, Installation & commissioning of Joining Lab
- To Validate product engineering / CAE requirements
- Define fasteners specifications (metallurgical, dimensions) based on Joining lab results
- Equipment selection based on fastening specification.
- Develop standards, materials, weld joint design, and welding processes.
- Develop welding process procedure qualification, supplier qualification, and product testing
- Initiate and make technical Evaluation of Supplier in the Purchasing process.
- Track the spending on budget allocated for each Project.
- Decision on payments of supplier as per purchasing terms and output and go by rulebook in case of non-compliance in fulfilment of deliverables.
- Share product data in compliance with Confidentiality agreement
- Influence on Product regarding Design for Manufacturing
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of master documents related to the Mechanical Resistance and Adhesive applications
- Generate best practices and guidelines for issuing to the team to use in design and industrialization, these will be based on the development during process and equipment selection, as well as lessons learnt as part of the SE and industrialization phases.
- You will also have responsibility for equipment selection and will be responsible for the equipment RFQ and will work with purchasing to ensure the correct equipment is selected for the production applications.
- Responsible for benchmarking Mechanical, Resistance and Adhesive equipment and suppliers and determining feasible processing approaches for delivering applications into a production facility.

- Diploma/ Graduates /Master graduates
- 7+ Years for Graduates / 10+ Years for Diploma / 9+ years for Master graduates (Welding Engineering – Preferable)
