Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Planning Engineer (Body Test Operations) to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions.

Umbrella Pay Rate: Up to £33.64 per hour.

The Body Test Operations (BTO) Team is responsible for planning and managing physical prototype test properties that support the development and approval of body components for our client programmes. • Overall end-to-end co-ordination and responsibility for two models worth of IP&C assemblies from planning through to delivery.
  • Gathering and consolidation of the requirements from the engineering customers.
  • Planning and management of Bills of Materials (BoM) for these assemblies, aligning them to the required build level and part maturities.
  • Co-ordination and management of parts ordering, rate and flow, part shortage meetings and issue resolution related there, particularly for content not yet released by engineering.
  • Co-ordination of (build planning, rate and flow etc.) and support for property build, resolving issues and co-ordinating logistics of the properties into test.

Skills:

  • Robust and demonstrable Excel skills with understanding of Bills of Materials (BoMs) and CAD visualisation.
  • Engineering and Testing background.
  • Project Management with Robust Cross-Functional working.
  • Automotive Engineering build and/or test.

Education:

  • Degree Level desired but is not essential.
